Situational Awareness: Anticipating the Outage
Wednesday, 21 February, 2018 | 15:30 - 16:00
A large amount of data is collected every single day, and the challenge is processing it in an efficient and effective way. This is a great opportunity for utilities, since valuable insights can be extracted from the data that can help to improve risk assessment and operations management. Since real-time analytics and situational awareness functionalities are becoming new tools to support stressed network operations, an experimental platform was developed and a use case carried out, showing how such platform can be used to achieve a fasted reaction to unplanned outages when they occur, correlating events in space and time.
Key items to be discussed include:
- Business intelligence platform
- Situational awareness
- Operational risk
- Maintenance schedule
